LEADER TIMBER LTD WELCOMES NEW OWNERS MGM TIMBER
Scottish timber merchant MGM Timber (Scotland) Ltd is delighted to announce the purchase of Broxburn-based Leader Timber.
After 19 years, Ronnie Malcolm, owner of Leader Timber, has decided to sell the business and retire. After taking some careful consideration to ensure the future success of Leader and the people he has worked with over the years, he has decided to sell to MGM Timber.
A successful and well-respected merchant, MGM Timber currently has 12 branches and is the largest independent timber merchant in Scotland. The company is part of the James Donaldson and Sons Group; an independent family owned business celebrating their 150th anniversary this year.
MGM will trade the Broxburn business as Leader Timber Ltd for the foreseeable future, retaining all of the existing staff. MGM has brought in Tony Hayes to manage the branch, and he will work alongside Ronnie until his retirement to ensure that the takeover runs smoothly.
