      FAQS ABOUT INSULATION
      WHAT IS THE BEST INSULATION?
Every project is different and will require different types of insulation. Foil insulation, for instance, is best used for roofing, insulation boards are best used for walls, and mineral wool is a great all-round option for both walls and flooring.  If in doubt, contact us and tell us about your project, we can provide guidance as to what would be the best choice.
HOW THICK SHOULD LOFT INSULATION BE?
After 2007 in the UK, building regulations require loft insulation to be at least 270mm in depth for glass or mineral wool. This was updated from the previous recommendation of 200mm in 1995.
HOW MUCH DOES LOFT INSULATION COST?
How much you’ll need to spend on loft insulation is determined by the area of your loft that needs insulation. It is often best to insulate loft floors, walls, and ceilings/roofs for the best results.  The easiest way to figure out the cost is to figure out your loft area by multiplying loft length and width (for ceilings/floors) and loft length and height (for walls).  These calculations can be used to determine how much insulation is required.
