Fire Rated Plasterboard

Fire-rated plasterboard, also known as fire-resistant or fireproof plasterboard, is a vital component in modern construction, designed to enhance safety and provide critical fire resistance. Engineered with non-combustible materials such as glass fibres and gypsum additives, this specialised plasterboard helps delay the spread of fire, giving occupants more time to evacuate and reducing property damage.  Fire-rated plasterboard is installed in a similar way to standard plasterboard and no additional tools are needed.

FAQS ABOUT PLASTERBOARD
WHAT IS PLASTERBOARD?
Plasterboard is a type of sheet material made from gypsum (calcium sulphate dihydrate) that is pressed between a backer and a facer layer. It is great for use in areas that experience high levels of humidity.  It is often used for interior walls, ceilings, and partitions.  Plasterboard is also known as drywall, gypsum board, wallboard, and other variants of these names.
HOW MUCH PLASTERBOARD DO I NEED?
Every project is different. When it comes to plasterboard, take a length and height measurement of the wall or ceiling (length and width) that is to be covered. Use these measurements to choose a plasterboard product, then divide your wall or ceiling’s length and height (or length and width) by the dimensions of your desired plasterboard product.  This will provide you with how many plasterboard panels you’ll need for your project.
WHAT SIZES DOES PLASTERBOARD COME IN?
Plasterboard is available in a wide variety of sizes for all kinds of applications. Standard sizes include: 12.5x2400x1200mm 9.5x2400x1200mm 12.5x1800x900mm
