MGM Timber have developed a powerful free tool to allow you to create quotes for your customers. You can now build up a list of products, where you’ll find your total cost price as well as the standard retail price the end customer would pay by shopping directly on our website. From here, you can add a markup to each of the products, add your own custom products and even service lines like plant hire and labour charges.  You can fully customise the quote to show your logo, colour schemes and business address. 

Using Quote Builder is simple, here’s all you need to do:

• Connect / login to your account 
• Find ‘My Project Lists’ in the menu 
• Select an existing project list or create a new one (you can do this by navigating to products on the website and selecting ‘save to project list’ or build up a basket of goods and select ‘add basket to list’ at the bottom)
• Once you’ve opened the list you want to create a quote for, select the products and quantities you want to include in the quote (or press select all at the top)
• Once you have products selected, you should be able to click the ‘Quote Builder’ button at the top of the page 
• You’ll now be taken to step 1, where you add the key information such as the quote number and who it’s addressed to. At this stage you can also add your business address, logo and brand colours! Once you’ve added all this info, select next at the bottom of the page 
• In step 2, you will be presented with all the products within the quote. Here you can make last-minute removals or amend the quantities. You can add your markup while comparing it to the standard RRP to ensure you’re offering your customer a great deal
• You’ll see options to ‘add quote items’ (additional products you may need) or ‘add charge items’ (things like labour and equipment costs)
• From here you can save the quote or print the PDF. Within seconds you’ll have a beautiful, personalised quote you can send on to your customer!
• If the customer choses to accept the quote, you can go back to your original project list and add everything to your cart
