FAQS ABOUT SKIRTINGS
HOW DO YOU FIT SKIRTINGS?
To fit skirtings, you will first need to measure the length of the wall where the skirting will be installed. This will give you a good idea of the skirting board length to buy.  To cut your skirting board to the appropriate length, ensure that you create a 45-degree angle on each end. Once ready, apply adhesive along the back of the skirting and press it firmly into place, ensuring that it is level and even.  You can then secure the skirting in place with nails or screws, making sure to countersink them. Any gaps between the skirting and the wall can be filled in with wood filler, and once this is dry, you can sand and paint the skirting as you wish.
HOW DO YOU PAINT SKIRTINGS NEAR CARPET?
To paint skirting boards near carpets, it is best to use painter's tape, a paint guard or cardboard to protect the carpet from drips while painting. Use a small, angled brush to  ensure that all  parts of the skirting board are painted.
HOW DO YOU CLEAN SKIRTING BOARDS?
To clean skirting boards, it is usually advised to use a soft cloth or a microfiber duster to remove any loose dust or debris.  For more stubborn dirt or stains, you can try using a mild cleaning solution, such as a mixture of warm water and gentle detergent. It's important to avoid using harsh cleaning chemicals such as bleach, or abrasive materials such as steel wool, as they could damage the wood.
